Male Figure with Surgical Repair of the Arm, Pelvis and Knee - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This exhibit begins with one silhouette (outline) view of a black male figure revealing the full body skeleton from the skull down to the feet. This image provides an overall orientation to various sites of injuries and surgeries with boxes drawn around each region. This includes the left 5th, 6th and 7th rib fractures, the right humerus fracture, right hip dislocation with acetabulum fracture and the right ACL tear. Also, enlarged skeletal views of the right hip, right knee and right upper arm regions are included illustrating the post-operative conditions in greater detail. The hip image clearly shows the plates and screws fixating the posterior acetabular fracture. The right knee image shows the ACL reconstruction hardware in place. The right arm image shows the long fixation plate and multiple screws in place.
