Progression of Heart Damage with EKG Tracing - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This illustration demonstrates the progression of myocardial infarction, as shown through changes in electrocardiogram (EKG) tracings and corresponding areas of heart damage. The "Initial EKG Tracing" shows early abnormalities, indicating infarction of the inferior portion of the heart, highlighted in the anatomical heart image. The "Subsequent EKG Tracing" displays further deterioration, corresponding to a major infarction in the anterolateral portion of the heart, which is illustrated in the lower heart diagram. This progression is evident in both the increasing irregularity in the EKG readings and the expansion of the infarcted area in the heart, showing worsening myocardial ischemia.
